Title Community Hab Provider
Location Dutchess County
Description The Arc of Dutchess offers supports and opportunities to individuals living in their own home. Currently we have various Full Time, Part Time and Relief positions working in this program. The Community Hab Provider is responsible for the provision of and training for goal directed and meaningful activities. In addition, the Community Hab Provider must work collectively and collaboratively with family members and guardians to provide choices that encourage community integration.
Positions are $12.8577 per hour. Hours and days may vary depending on the needs of the program.
Qualifications All Community Hab Provider positions require a HS Diploma/GED, and must be 18 years of age or older. All applicants are required to have one year experience working with individuals with disabilities and knowledge and understanding of Community Hab policy required. Title Day Hab Team Members
Location Lagrange and Dover
Description The Arc of Dutchess offers various day supports to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. These supports are designed around building friendships and volunteering in the community. Work as a partner with individuals with developmental disabilities to discover their preferences, build relationships, and utilize community resources. The position is primarily one of being a catalyst to become a bridge builder between the community and the people we support.
Positions are $12.1169 per hour.
Current available positions are 1st shift full time positions. Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm.
Qualifications All Day Hab Team Member positions require a HS Diploma/GED, and must be 18 years of age or older. Applicants must possess excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and organizational skills. Applicants must also be able to demonstrate through action and relationships within the organization a commitment to teamwork and the agency mission.

Title Director of Residential Services
Location Lagrange
Description The Director of Program Operations (Residential) oversees the operation of all residential programs and services operated by The Arc of Dutchess. They ensure that all aspects of the program are in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, and organizational policy, providing for continuous improvement in the performance of the department.
Position is 37.5 hours a week, 1st shift.
Qualifications The successful candidate will possess a solid background of demonstrated success achieved through leadership, collaboration, and accountability.
• Minimum of a Bachelors Degree, MA preferred
• At least 5 years of senior management experience
• Experience with and knowledge of NYS OPWDD regulatory and billing standards and protocols
• Demonstrated track record of accomplishing organizational objectives and exceeding goals; strong bottom line orientation
• Knowledge and utilization of key organizational financial indicators
• Strong project management skills; managing complex, multifaceted projects resulting in measurable successes and program growth

Title Job Coach
 Description

The Arc of Dutchess offers various day supports to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Provide support and counseling necessary to facilitate vocational success for individuals with disabilities.
Positions start at $12.3178 per hour.
30 hours per week – First position: Monday – Friday, 8:30am to 2:30pm. Second position: Sunday –
Thursday, 2:00pm – 8:00pm

 Qualifications

All Job Coach positions require a HS Diploma/GED, and must be 18 years of age or older. Applicants must possess excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and organizational skills. Title Maintenance Worker II
Location

Lagrange

Description

The Maintenance Worker II shall:

Provide maintenance and skilled repair in various areas including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing and basic electric.

1. Follow all safety procedures and ensure those safety requirements and applicable licensing regulations are met while working in a safe manner.

2. Review and prioritize assigned work orders and follow up to complete assignment or communicate status to supervisor.

 

HOURS: Generally Monday-Friday 40 hours per week. Hours and days may vary depending on the needs of the program. On-call rotation required. Non-exempt status.

 

Maintenance Worker II will also be responsible for:

  • Obtaining approval for all purchases utilizing centralized purchasing system.
  • Perform bathroom and kitchen remodeling including tile work.
  • Perform basic drywall installation, repair and taping
  • Replace windows, screens and doors.
  • Provide maintenance/repair in areas including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing and electric.
  • Perform HIVAC basics.
  • Maintain vehicle used in daily activity.
  • Maintain inventory of tools and supplies on vehicle – if assigned and recommend additional purchases as necessary.
  • Assist in housekeeping duties as necessary.
  • Assist with loading and unloading as necessary.
  • Assist with escaping building in the case of a fire or emergency.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
 Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • A minimum of three years demonstrated experience in a variety of maintenance related skills such as carpentry, taping, plumbing, and electric required.
  • Ability to work independently using good judgment and ability to interact as part of a larger team required.
  • Valid drivers license required.

Title Physical Therapist
Location Pleasant Valley
Description The Arc of Dutchess offers various day supports to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities
Oversee daily operations of prescribed therapy program. Design therapy programs, review and facilitate equipment requests.
Position is part-time. Primarily daytime hours, flexible. Salary negotiable
Qualifications Bachelors Degree with a current New York State Physical Therapist registration and license
required. Basic computer proficiency including experience with Microsoft Word required.

Applicant has to consistently exhibit a pleasant demeanor, an ability to work as part of a team,
ability to problem solve and the ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of person centered
approaches. Must also possess the ability to work independently in order to meet deadlines.
Experience using Microsoft Computer Programs in necessary.

Title Recreation Mananger

Description The Recreation Manager shall ensure that the services provided within the area are in keeping with the standards established by the agency and the department. They must have an understanding

of and commitment to the values of the organization, respecting the individuals served, their families, and the mission of the agency.   They should provide for the safety, health, and welfare of employees,

the individuals served, and at the same time, ensure the services provided are geared to promote personal growth, skill acquisition, and authentic community integration.  Although this position at times requires direct care service, the major focus is the supervision, hands-on instruction and coaching of direct care staff as well as the development and maintenance  of systems that enhance the provision of services.

Position is 37.5 hours a week, weekends and evenings needed. Hours and days may vary depending on the needs of the program – at a rate of $16.5192 per hour

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Services or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years experience working with individuals with a developmental disability
  • Experience in organizing community or voluntary activities preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required

Title Residential Direct Support/Team Members

Description The Arc of Dutchess offers a wide range of community living opportunities for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Currently we have various Full Time, Part Time and Relief positions working in these residential programs. Provide direct care services and instruct individuals in activities of daily living in the residential program.
Positions are at $12.8577 per hour (Generally 37.5- 40 hours per week) and offer various
differentials depending on position, shift and work location. Hours and days will vary depending on
the needs of the program
Qualifications All Residential Direct Support/Team Member positions require a HS Diploma/GED, and must be 18 years of age or older. Applicants must possess excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and organizational skills. Some positions require candidates to be/become certified in administering medications.

Title Residential Nurse
Location Pleasant Valley
Description The Arc of Dutchess offers a wide range of community living opportunities for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Review and coordinate consumers’ medical and dental needs. Maintain medication certification for staff. As a Registered Nurse in a residential location, you would be providing support and education to the people supported in that residence. RN’s work in an advocacy role meeting the needs of the program making sure to add support to both the staff and the people residing in the home.
Position is Full time, Monday – Friday (with flexibility) daytime hours. Hours and days may vary depending on the needs of the program. The rate of pay is $28.5399 per hour.
Qualifications Current RN license and New York State RN registration required. One to two years nursing experience and working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle required.
